[LinkedinBlogger] Paul Dube Joins MyJobTIGER as Moderator

A brief note to let you know that Paul Dube has joined
me as a moderator of MyJobTIGER.

As many of you already know, in addition to his being
a senior-level IT professional, Paul Dube brings to us
a very strong ability to communicate complex things in
a manner that's easy to understand.  It's a skill of
Paul's that I've enjoyed over the past 5-6 years.
Paul currently own's an IT consultancy called AlignIT
Advisors located in New Jersey.

To visit Paul's Linkedin profile, please visit:

https://www.linkedin.com/e/fpf/43177

MyJobTIGER currently has 659 members and brings
together job seekers and recruiters seeking to make a
right match as quickly as possible.

If you are a job seeker, recruiter, or hiring manager
you can join MyJobTIGER by visiting:

http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/MyJobTIGER/

NOTE: Though MyJobTIGER is not a Linkedin-based
discussion group, Paul Dube is joining as a moderator
because of the developing business relationship we
have as a result of the recent work we've been doing
with Linkedin.

[LinkedinBlogger] A Special Endorsement of Craig Silverman

This is a special endorsement prompted by a singular
action that Craig Silverman of HireAbility took in
response to Hurricane Katrina.

As most recruiters, Craig Silverman has a high drive
to be successful.   But Craig is different in that he
publicly demonstrated that he knows the almost
illimitable power recruiters can access.   And he did
this is a single call to action letter centered around
a single catastrophic even: Hurricane Katrina.   Craig
gets it.   He understands the real power of recruiting
and networking.

At the time of Craig’s action, I was one of millions
distressed by the devastation caused by Hurricane
Katrina.   But by the time I’d finished reading
Craig’s call to action letter, I was not only
re-strengthened and encouraged, I was proud to call
myself a recruiter.

Recruiters are, of necessity, high-energy people.
Sometimes, our high-energy gets us into trouble for
going too far in business.  But, even with all our
energy, we can’t go too far with using our recruiting
skills to bring appropriate attention and resources to
bear on the aftermath on Hurricane Katrina.

Craig’s powerful recommendation that recruiters and HR
professionals encourage companies to raise and 1.)
contribute a Billion Dollars for the relief efforts
and 2.) use our skills to help people find jobs, is
the type of thing that recruiters should take pride in
using their considerable skills to accomplish.

This is a right usage of our skills in doing what we
do best: gathering people together.

Please join me in participating with Craig in this
exceptional task.  To visit Craig's Linkedin profile,
please visit him here:

Thank you, Craig!

[LinkedinBlogger] LinkedinWomen is now owned & moderated by Yvonne Brown!

In addition to joining MLPF as a co-moderator, Yvonne
Brown of JAD Communications and I will be working to
provide a Linkedin forum focused on women’s issues.

I started Linkedin Women on June 4, 2005.  Since that
time, I’ve searched for just the right type of person
to develop Linkedin Women as a vehicle to help empower
women and to help improve communications between men
and women.

Because women and men MUST work at and learn to
communicate more effectively and fairly with each
other, Linkedin Women not only invites women to join
but also encourages men who are respectful and
supportive of women’s issues to join as well.

We intend to grow Linkedin Women into a vibrant and
supportive forum with a tone set by Yvonne Brown’s
incomparable approach to empowering women.  (Check out
her book Self-Creation: 10 Powerful Principles for
Changing Your Life:

who presents herself as powerfully, clearly, and as
focused as Yvonne Brown does. Yvonne's voice inspires
me to want to do business better, to perform better,
to help others more. I look forward to our growing our
businesses as marketing friends and I encourage you to
invest a little time in getting to know Yvonne and her
work.” (July 6, 2005)

[LinkedinBlogger] Announcing Tia Carr Williams & Yvonne Brown as New MLPF Co-Moderators!!

Because My Linkedin Power Forum is seriously committed
to effective communications in general and strong
communication via Linkedin in particular, it gives me
great joy to announce that MLPF is adding two
wonderful women as co-moderators/subject matter
experts to better support our belief that the way to
better business is through better communication.

As many of you already know, both Tia and Yvonne are
exceptional communicators.  I’ve already benefited
from advice from both of them.    It is my hope that
we’ll learn a lot of best practices from their vast
experience.

My emphasis on communication is not meant to suggest
mere grammar or composition or even style.  Though
these are quite valuable in getting our message
across, I’m hoping that Tia and Yvonne will help us to
continually refine the tone of MLPF so that both men
and women are as comfortable as we can reasonably make
them on this forum.

Below are links to their profiles as well as to their
individual web sites.  You may also contact each of
them from the MLPF homepage at:
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/MyLinkedinPowerForum/

To provide a little more insight into why I’m so happy
to have them aboard as moderators, I’ve included the
Linkedin endorsements I wrote for each earlier this
year.

“There is a great joy in networking that comes when we
meet genuine, intelligent nurturers. Thus, as creator
of My Linkedin Power Forum, it’s a great joy to me to
acknowledge Tia Carr Williams as winner of the June
2005 Wright Way N.E.T.W.O.R.K.I.N.G. Recognition
Award. Tia has consistently demonstrated the spirit of
authentic networking and genuine friendship to MLPF &
Modo Fac Central.” (July 1, 2005)
